Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza! is a traditional beat 'em up, set in the Ninja Turtles universe. The story of this spectacular fangame revolves around the latest Machiavellian plan of Shredder, who has decided to kidnap all the important people in the lives of Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello. Your goal, of course, is to rescue each and every one of them.

A classic beat 'em up

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza! offers a traditional gaming experience that is up there with the greats of the genre, such as Streets of Rage or Double Dragon. You will start each level on the left side of a very long setting and, blow by blow, you will have to make your way to the end of the level, where one of the people who have been kidnapped will usually be waiting for you. Along the way, as you might expect, you will have to face dozens and dozens of different enemies who will try their best to put an end to your adventure. In some of the levels, in addition to enemies, you will also have to deal with all kinds of ingenious traps and vehicles.

Play alone or with friends

In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza!, you can play solo and have a great time, but if you want to enjoy the true Ninja Turtles experience, you should play with at least one or two friends. Up to four people can play simultaneously as long as you configure the controls correctly from the options menu. Two people can play comfortably using the same keyboard, although it is best to connect controllers, as the game is fully compatible with Xbox and PlayStation controllers. When you play in co-op mode, you will also be able to create spectacular combos with your friends.

60 different playable characters

When you start Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue-Palooza!, you will only be able to control the four main characters of the animated series. However, as you pass levels, you can unlock new characters to join your adventure. In total, you will be able to control sixty different characters, all of them old acquaintances of the franchise, who have their own special attacks and moves. You can play with Master Splinter himself, Ripley, Usagi Yojimbo, and many more. When you finish the Story Mode, you will also unlock the Arcade Mode, where you can start playing from the beginning with any character you want, including Shredder or Kang.
